Today, only a very limited number of freight and departmental services traverse the Dawlish Sea Wall. The list below gives the booked position for summer 2011 (23 May-9 December). By nature of their operation freight and departmental services do not always keep to their booked times. In addition to the booked services, additional ballast and engineers trains can be seen traversing the Sea Wall, these operate on an 'as required' basis.
